2012 Camp Calendars & Info

Location: Willamette Hall on the UO Campus - 1371 E 13th Avenue
Directions (Updated)- The intersection at Franklin and Agate has been closed.  Enter campus from Franklin & 13th in front of the Matt Knight Arena.  Head west toward 13th & Agate.  Pass the kiosk and the construction.  Willamette Hall is a 4-story brick building on your right (across from the EMU).
There will be curbside greeters in lab coats from at 8:45 am to 9:10am and 3:50pm - 4:10pm.  You can drop your camper off with the greeters.
Parking on campus is normally bad, during camp it will be downright awful.  We have graduation aftermath AND the Olympic trials on campus.  There are a few 30 minute loading spaces in the vicinity, but they are in high demand.
You can find Willamette Hall on the map at this link in grid section F7.
There is a parking map here:
Do try to arrive on time, but if you fall prey to the parking demons, we will be doing ice breakers in the atrium until 9:30, so don't panic if you're a little late on the first day.
What to bring: Sack Lunch - We will provide you camper with a messenger bag or sling pack on the first day, so they won't need a bag or backpack.  Discovery campers will benefit from having a spare shirt on some days when we work with water ( June 20th, 21st, 28th).  Engineering campers are encouraged to bring toys, recyclables, and gadgets for the Rube Goldberg build June 26th-29th).
Paperwork & Camp Fees:  If you haven't turned in your paper work or submitted your remaining camp fee you can bring both of those on the 19th.
Scholarships:  Scholarships have been awarded to all campers who requested them.  These apply to the camp fee and wrap around care fees.
Wrap around:  Wrap around care runs 7:30-9:00 and 4:00-5:30.  Drop off and Pick up will be in the atrium.
Sunscreen: The Discovery campers will be spending a fair amount of time in the sun.  Please apply sunscreen before you arrive at camp.  We will have plenty more on hand and will encourage our campers to reapply often.
Last Day of Camp Presentations:  Starting at 1:30pm each camp will give a final presentation of what they accomplished in camp.  Forensics campers will present their mystery scene evidence and conclusions, Engineering campers wills set off their Rube Goldberg Machines, and the Discovery camp will show off what they learned.  Parents, friends and family are welcome to attend.  We will be in 110 Willamette and the Willamette Atrium.  We will make liquid nitrogen ice cream afterwards.
